Finally
Ok, so I finally did it. I have been working on bringing up a new server for my domain. I built the original (with lots of help I might add) back in 2001. That is 4 years of building, tinkering, working on a linux server and all the many applications I run to maintain and monitor my domain. And it was about time. It’s funny how these things work, but just as I was getting close to getting it complete my old server started to act funny. Acted like it didn’t want to boot. Well tonight when I switched the old one out physically I found out that either the network cable or the port on the router was not working consistently since I used them for the new server and it wouldn’t respond to pings. So sounds like it was having more than one issue. But the web pages have been redesigned, my mail server is working and life is good! Yeah, talk about having to remember stuff from 4 years ago.
